31st July 2019, Kaduna Mariacutty Empowerment Foundation in collaboration with the House of Recovery and Draft Youth with support of Impact Arewa is organizing a Bootcamp for girls aged 15 to 17. The evnt which comes up on 19th and 20th of August 2019 in kaduna is to address the widening gender gap in leadership in the country. It is no longer news that the girl child in Nigeria ad indeed other developing countries are at a great disadvantages especially in the area of leadership. The Bootcamp is therefore designed to equip these girls with the life skills needed to prepare them for the roles expected of them as future leaders. Some activities lined up for the exercise include but not limited to the following:
Leadership Skills and Strategy, Confidence Building and Assertiveness, Values and Etiquette, Financial Intelligence, Coping Mechanisms, Conflict resolution, Relationships, Abuse and much more. The event, a unique initiative of these organizations is targeting the 21st Century girls. The programme is designed by experts in various fields specifically for girls and promises to be fun filled with plenty of interactive activities.
